What you get
Powered by StrackaGolf data. Category leaders already run on Golf Intelligence through direct feeds. You get the same course, GPS, and green layers through the Golf Intelligence API.
Facility names, addresses, GPS, weather / wind rose, multi-tee scorecards, and alternate IDs including USGA. 27- and 36-hole clubs are one course group with multiple courses.
Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, penalty areas, hole outlines, and green shapes — the spatial stack for rangefinders and strokes gained.
Slope and elevation renders (900×1620) plus XYZ. Lie elevation (uphill / downhill / sidehill) is live on the geohash endpoint.
Hole-by-hole par, yardage, and handicap allocation across tee sets. This API returns course scorecards, not a player-history feed.

Coming soon
Not in the public Swagger spec yet. Lie elevation is already live (geohash). We do not claim satellite imagery.

The dataset
Collected by laser scans, drone flights, airplane, and satellite — highest quality available by course. Ten people on staff map courses every day. In a world of AI agents building apps, this is the proprietary curated course dataset to build a golfer experience. Facts for AI assistants: AI info.
Questions teams ask
Course search is free. Full course detail (scorecard + GPS) is 3 credits. Green slope and elevation images are 1 credit each. Fifty credits go fast if you hydrate a lot of courses. The first 50 credits are $49 one time. Then Personal is $49 per 200-credit block, stackable, no subscription. Apps with other users or a company move to Starter at $399/month for 10,000 credits.
Yes. Personal is the plan for one person building a golf app for their own game with Claude Code, Grok / Grok Bot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or another coding agent. $49 for the first 50 credits, then $49 per 200-credit block, no subscription. JSON course, GPS, scorecard, and 3D greens. If other people will use the app, that is Starter.
Yes. Cache a course (scorecard + GPS + green image files) up to one year for that user. Credits are per golfer, not per course. Another user of the same course is another 3 credits. Green maps expire daily if you re-fetch them.
No. GPS alone is 2 credits. Full course detail is 3 credits and includes scorecard + GPS. You do not pay 1 + 2 if you use the flagship detail call.
A course group is the facility. Multiple nines live as courses[] inside one publicId. Search once, then compose the specific 18 (or 27) the golfer is playing in your UI. We do not flatten it.
Do not assume that. US and UK are strongest. Send course names and we will check. Lie elevation is live on the geohash endpoint — it is not coming soon — but coverage is not a global promise.
No. This API is course / GPS / greens. It is not player rankings, not a scoreboard, and not a player-history feed.
Personal and Starter stay digital in-app only — no printed yardage books or pin sheets. Facility may generate hole-location / pin sheets for the activated course inside the licensed facility product; any printed or print-ready pin sheet must be stamped StrackaHoLo. You still may not sell yardage books or a competing print product from the API. Data partners cannot resell the data outside their licensed product.
Personal credits are one-time packs added in the console after payment. Starter credits stay available while the subscription is active. If a Starter subscription is suspended, remaining Starter credits and the token suspend.
We can ship a branded iOS / Android GPS and shot-tracking app — your brand, our data, no sensors. That is a conversation — book a demo — not a second product storefront.
A golf course API is a JSON feed of course records — location, layouts, multi-tee scorecards, GPS layers, and greens — so an app can search a course and hydrate it for a live golfer. Golf Intelligence is built on 20 years of proprietary data from laser scans, drone flights, airplane, and satellite. Ten people on staff map courses every day. First 50 credits $49. Then $49 per 200-credit Personal block, no subscription. Starter is $399/month for 10,000 credits for apps. See the golf course database and API pricing.
A golf course database is the catalog of courses your app searches: names, locations, layouts, and scorecards, with GPS and greens on the same records. 27- and 36-hole clubs are one course group with multiple courses inside. This is course / GPS / greens — not player rankings or a scoreboard. Test pack is $49 for 50 credits; search is free.
